Website FTP directory and HTTP directory do not appear to match

Asked by DanSmith

Modifying the \web\index.html file for http://pnw.ubuntu-us.org does not appear to change the home page. Continue to see the following even after clearing browser cache and viewing from another computer:

{
Welcome to pnw.ubuntu-us.org!

This is the standard index of your website. You can easily delete it or replace it with another file. This is the index.html file in the web directory.

For questions or problems please contact the server administrator.
}

Deleting the index.html file does not have any effect on the web site's appearance.

Cannot access dev site at http://pnw.ubuntu-us.org/dev/index.html either although the appropriate folder structure exists.

I tried to dig / nslookup, from what I can tell everything is pointing to the same server.

Sorry for that... when I created your user account you weren't flagged as an admin. Therefore you were uploading to ~/web. (no fault of yours)

I've corrected your settings and now you should be able to upload just fine.

Let me know if you have additional problems.
