any instruction on how to set up ubuntu web-catalog locally?

Asked by Javier-puche-u

Dear all,

I am trying to set up an ubuntu-webcatalog in my machine, I am new to django but I am reading as much as I can. I would like to know if there are any instructions on how to do it. I downloaded the sources (bzr ...) read README and other text files, but after installing pyton, django, all dependendies, running pythong setup.py install (succesful) and others I get the following error when trying python manage.py runserver in django_project directory: AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'dictConfig'

I tried on a ubuntu 12.04-5 machine (I guess django 1.3.4 is too old) and on a Centos6 with django 1.5.4

Thanks for any help. Best Regards,

Javier.

Hello again,

Maybe you wonder why I want to set up ubuntu-webcatalog locally. Well, we have an educational ubuntu-based distro (max.educa.madrid.org) gouvernamental founded, I we want to have our own apps directory with only educational free apps. Is there any better alternative than ubuntu-webcatalog?

Well, all the trials I am doing end with the same error message:
django_project directory: AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'dictConfig'
I know it must be due to configuration, but I do not see what might it be.

Thansk for any help. Best Regards,

Javier.
