What application is required to install an Ubuntu application from the software centre?

I want to download Inkscape for Ubuntu 12.04. I go to the Ubuntu software centre and click on the download button. I then get the pop-up window that says "This link needs to be opened with an application. Send to: Choose an Application..." I am new to Ubuntu and I do not know which program I need to use to open this link.
