Can Janitor clean Firefox's new cache2 folders?

Asked by futwick

If you enable the new HTTP Cache backend in Firefox cached files are stored in a folder named 'cache2' (instead of the usual 'cache').

Can (or does) Janitor look for and clean these files?

I tried to find the new HTTP cache setting in about:config for the latest Firefox 29, but I can not find it, does it be the default cache backend?

So that I does not need to add another "Cache2"

I am also running Firefox 29

in about:config search for browser.cache.use_new_backend

change its value from a 0 to a 1

it definitely creates a cache2 folder

But maybe in the future when this feature is on by default it will not use a separate folder. I do not know.
