Suggestion for "show mounted volumes on desktop"

Asked by plikplok on 2008-02-03

It would be great to be able to select which volumes you want to see on the desktop.

In my case, 3 volumes are mounted.
By selecting "show mounted volumes on desktop", I have 3 volumes on my desktop; but I would like to have only one of these 3 volumes on my desktop.

I don't know if it's possible to do ?
Ubuntu-tweak would have to find every volumes mounted and propose the user to select which one he wants to show on desktop.
A line for removable media should also be added (sd card, usb disks, cd-rom)

That's really a good idea.
But it's impossible yet. I don't know how to implement it.
I'll have a try.

Can you help with this problem?
