updating in ubuntu tweak 0.5.14

Asked by ray30

when I start Ubuntu tweak it shows an outstanding update of wine so I install it and says installed ok, but when I
restart my o/s and restart tweak it still shows the app needs updating.
the app is wine windows compatible meta package, and this not showing thru kpackagekit in k10.10 mm?

Hi, ray.

I've received your screenshot. Thank you

By the way, this feature has been removed for the 0.6 version.

And I hope you can try the new version: http://blog.ubuntu-tweak.com/2011/12/13/ubuntu-tweak-0-6-is-close-to-releasing.html

Do remember, it is still beta so may have some bugs.

No, you can't, because Ubuntu Tweak 0.6 only supports Ubuntu 11.10.

I recommend you to upgrade your system to Kubuntu 11.10.

Hi ray30, you can add the PPA via Terminal by executing these command

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-tweak-testing/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak

Then tell us what you think about the program. Hope that helps :-)

Oh I see. Alright, instead of adding that repository, use this one ppa:tualatrix/next. So the commands are

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/next
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak
