ubuntu tweak 0.5.14 crash install from source code

vadim@vadim-desktop:~/ubuntu-tweak-0.5.14$ sudo python setup.py install
running install
error: error in setup.cfg: command 'build' has no such option 'i18n'

Ubuntu 10.04 (just installed). I'm beginner in Ubuntu.

Hi Vadim! There's an easier way of installing Ubuntu Tweak. Go to http://ubuntu-tweak.com/ and click the Download Now! button. It will download the .deb file (the installer). You can double-click it to proceed with the setup.

Just let me know if you have troubles doing that. Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply, but I know I am about this link (about .deb file).
The fact is that I want to install from source code. But this method does not work. And I want to know what I'm doing wrong.

Hi,
I just had the same issue. The easy fix is to install the packages "python-distutils-extra". It did help, compiling but then I ram into errors when launching the application
