Tweak 0.5.14 on ubuntu 11.04 does not show kernels

Asked by prasanna

Need help to see what I might be setting up wrong here. Running ubuntu 11.04 (64 bit) with the latest ubuntu-tweak 0.5.14. However, the clean kernels screen shows no kernels in the list.

At boot time, the grub screen shows 2 old kernels (and their recovery versions) available, and a third ubuntu 10.04 on another drive, available to boot from. Why am I not seeing these in tweak?

Thanks.

Could you run "ls /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.3*" from terminal and give the result to me? Thanks.

p@desktop:~$ ls /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.3*
/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.38-10-generic /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.38-8-generic

So the current kernel is 2.6.38.10, but Ubuntu Tweak doesn't show "2.6.38-8" in the "kernel" in Cleaner, right?

That is correct.

For a while I had a much older build on a different drive (which I have now removed), and that showed up in the Grub menu. But the Cleaner did not report it either.
