feature request: add lock screen settings to ubuntu tweak

Asked by Gerhard Burger on 2011-05-04

I would like to access my computer without any passwords since it is a shared computer. In the screensaver settings for ubuntu you can specify that for when the screensaver is active the screen does not have to be locked. In gconf-editor under apps/gnome-power-manager there is an option to use the screensaver setting for hibernate and suspend as well. I think this is a very handy feature, could you put it in Ubuntu Tweak as well? Thanks in advance.

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Open' state without activity for the last 15 days.

Could someone reply, it expired :(

Hello, I think the feature is already there.

It's located at "Power Manager", named with "Lock screen on hibernate".

I'm aware of the option you mentioned, but with this option you can manage blank screen, suspend and hibernate at the same time, which is in my opinion more handy (have a look at gconf-editor-app->apps->gnome-power-manager->lock). I won't push this question further and will mark it is solved.

OK, do you mean the key "/apps/gnome-power-manager/lock/use_screensaver_settings"?

I will add it to the next version of Ubuntu Tweak.

Yes! Very nice, thank you.
