Login Screen Customisation - GDM

Just curious as to whether this app is meant to allow the installation of GDM's downloaded from places such as gnome-look.

I am currently able to change the icon and background image for the Welcome / Login Screen under Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid however i cannot utilise themes downloaded to significantly change the welcome / login screen and i am wondering if this application is meant to achieve this.

Has something changed in 10.04 ? Is it possible to manage the themes at all for login screens ?

Any of them posted there, would be a great help.

Because the difference between Ubuntu 9.04's GDM and Ubuntu 10.04's GDM, Ubuntu 10.04 GDM can't use these themes.
