Requesting addition of Sinama Language

Asked by Sinama.org

This is a Filipino Language. Its 3 letter ISO code is (SML)
The plural has only one form: 1 kuting, 2 kuting, 3 kuting, 4 kuting, 5 kuting...100 kuting

We are interested in translating ubuntu as well, though it may take over a year to get this project going.

Could we get the name: "ubuntu-l10n-SML"

Magsukul (Thanks)

I have created the language entry as "Central Sama" because that is what it is called in the ISO list.

Please just create a new team ubuntu-l10n-sml (called "Ubuntu Sinama Translators") and ask for it to be added to the Ubuntu Translators group. You can ask the admins of that group directly.

Since we have the new language in Launchpad I will move this question to Ubuntu Translations.

Luke, when you have created the new group, please let us know and we will appoint it with Central Sama

Cheers

Done,

As a coordinator of Ubuntu Translations for Central Sama please consider joining the Ubuntu Translators Mailinglist and keep in touch with the other translators and actions regarding Ubuntu Translations.

https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-translators

Please also add a link to your Translations Guidelines and let translators know about it.

Here you can found out more about guidelines: https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/Guidelines

Cheers

In order to fully enable Ubuntu Translations into Central Sama we
will need to create a locale for it.

You can find more info about glibc locales here:

http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/guide/locales/glibc

If you need help, feel free to contact us
