"Russian Ubuntu Translators" is abandoned

Asked by Milachew

Hello!"
I would like to start an active contributing by translation Ubuntu via "Russian Ubuntu Translators" team.
Link: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-ru

As I see it, this group is not active anymore because:
- admins don't add proposed members
- many untranslated and not reviewed(!) strings

So, if possible, I could take over the management of this group and also actively translate Ubuntu components.

Thanks for calling our attention to this.

Can you please click the "Contact this team's admins" link at the top right of the team page and send a reminder about your application. Then let us know the result here in say a week.

I see that Ivan has been approved as a member, and besides Eugene (who applied on January 6) the "Pending approval" queue has been handled. So the team is not quite abandoned.

For some other translation teams, where the owner/administrators have been completely unresponsive, we have interfered and added some new person as administrator. But doing so seems not to be motivated in this case. At least not yet. So I consider this question to be answered for now.

Yes, Igor Zubarev was active and added me (and presumably everyone else who was in the queue).

Therefore, I consider this particular issue closed.

There is still a problem in the description of the group (it contains outdated links), however, since one of the administrators reacted, it is possible to solve this issue with his help.

I consider the question closed, thank you all!

@Ivan: Maybe ask if he can make you an administrator, so you can make the necessary edits yourself.
