Months and 12hrs time format localization

Asked by නොදන්නා

I want to know below contents/strings contain location on ubuntu (if not, debian and i couldn't find on gnome https://l10n.gnome.org/ so far in gnome-shell, dock, gdm, settings etc)

1. Where contain 12 months names localization? (from jan-dec)
Currently it has translated to expected language several years ago but it's not correct

2. Where contain 12hrs time localization?
Currently it also has translated to expected language correctly but position isn't right.
0:00:00 AM/PM (current position) --> AM/PM 0:00:00 (required position) i guess it might be possible to change position when localize the string by simply put locale on left side `AM_locale %s:%s:%s` for example

There are multiple mechanisms which deal with time formatting, so I think your question is too general. Please provide one or two specific examples, and I'll try to provide some guidance.

I don't think this is format issue because i don't see any relation with that in Settings --> Region & Language --> Formats [Preview --> Time]; but issue belong to 12hrs AM/PM localization position

Unfortunately that doesn't make it much clearer. With "specific examples" I was thinking of examples of badly formatted time strings in a specific application or specific spot of your desktop. A screenshot would be helpful.

There is no place where you easily and safely can control 12 months localization globally.

Btw, which language are you dealing with?

I mark this question as solved because https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu All 500+ packages strings are searchable online easily (not as https://l10n.gnome.org/). i found many AM/PM strings (both translated and untranslated)

Found 2010 question https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+question/127032
(Days and month in Ubuntu localization)

About AM/PM position: If none of them helped then i'll consider to file bug report
