I upload my contacts to Google contacts and then set the Google account up in System Settings to sync contacts

It's a functionnality request in Contacts List application (existing on Android) to the attention of Ubuntu's developpers.

I don't want to use cloud services... ;(

I just purchased the Aquaris 4.5 Ubuntu Edition, and the contacts app is very slow and unresponsive. I'm unable to add any new contacts. When I try to add, everything looks fine, I click on the "check" sign on top to save them, returns to the main contacts screen, but nothing happens. It seems like it's unable to save any contacts.
On top of that, it doesn't get the contacts from the SIM card (my microsim has all the contacts on it, I checked on other devices).
Any ideas? Is this being looked at?
