Installation of Minibuntu?

Asked by donsanderson

Sorry for a stupid question but I'm new to Debian/'buntu remastering.
Is there a way to install minibuntu to harddrive?
That way I can experiment with the configuration until it is the way I want it.

TIA
Don

i'm sorry, minibuntu has no software for installation. if you want to install a distro based on minibuntu you should add some installation software, like ubiquity (the default ubuntu livecd installed) or something else

bye!

Is it possible to boot minibuntu, install ubiquity over the network and then install the base system to a hard disk?

we use uck to do so, with the uck-remaster-* scipts you can extract the iso, extract the squashfs, chroot the environment and install ubiquity :)
