Change the ubuntu 11.04 text in splash

Asked by Hawk

does anyone know how to change the ubuntu 11.04 text splash screen?

Have been googling for many days but with no luck. update-initramfs -u does not seem to do much?

Where is this "ubuntu 11.04" splash message/text stored?

The livecd use the plymouth from the initrd.lz. You need to modify it there.

Its took me a lot of searching to find out and thought I should share this information.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CustomizeLiveInitrd

if you use uck, you can find it located in ~/tmp/remaster-iso/casper/ directory.
