Could you help this question please? I would like to install the tiny ubuntu into a flash disk within very limited size (less than 300M)and I not sure how to achieve this goal, could you let me know if this is possible and how about the detailed steps and commands.

Many thanks

If you simply want to be able to boot from the iso, you could use something like

You might also be able to use the startup disk creator that comes on the full blown Ubuntu live CD to create the bootable Ubuntu mini USB.

What this will do is create a bootable envieronment, but it will not be "installed" directly onto the USB. Every time you boot up you will loose the changes you made since the last time you booted from the drive.

If you installed using the starup disk creator in Ubuntu, there is an option where it asks you "when starting up from this disk, documents and settings will be": select the stored in reserved extra space option. This will create what is known as a "Persistence" file that will store and save the changes you make between boots. I believe newer versions of UNetbootin provide this capability as well, but I could be thinking of another startup disk creator.

Can you help with this problem?
