Serbian translation

Asked by Мирослав Николић

Hi everybody, my name is Miroslav Nikolic (<email address hidden>) and I'm one of Serbian translators of Ubuntu Manual. Now, we have finished translation of the Ubuntu Manual for the Serbian language in both lucid-e2 and maverick series. Who can generate a draft PDF for us to proofread, so we can make any corrections to the translations and after that make a final release of document.
Thank you very much!

Hello, Miroslav.

First, thanks for all your work on the Serbian translations!

I just uploaded a new translation template file for the maverick edition, so you may have to retranslate some things. (The previous template was quite old. The new one is in line with the final, released edition.)

I've downloaded your translation of the lucid-e2 edition and compiled a PDF. I've uploaded the PDF and log file to:

   http://builds.ubuntu-manual.org/builds/ubuntu-manual-sr.pdf
   http://builds.ubuntu-manual.org/builds/ubuntu-manual-sr.log

You can find the errors in the log file by looking for lines that start with !. If you have trouble deciphering some of the error messages, let me know. (They can be pretty tricky sometimes.)

I currently don't have anyone assigned to the role of Serbian translation editor. Would you like to take on that role? The translation editor serves as a point of contact between me and the Serbian translators. I'll work with you to fix any bugs or problems and help you through the release process.

Hello, Kevin.

>>I just uploaded a new translation template file for the maverick edition, so you may have to retranslate some things.

We have just finished translation and I've uploaded file back to launchpad, so you can compile a PDF.

>>You can find the errors in the log file by looking for lines that start with !.

From first PDF and log file we saw that we have made too many errors. So, if there's a way to make a PDF file by ourself without boring you, that will be more faster.

>>I currently don't have anyone assigned to the role of Serbian translation editor. Would you like to take on that role?

OK, I accept.
