Why isn't Ubuntu Manual mentioned anywhere on help.ubuntu.com?
Hi~
Why does help.ubuntu.com not mention the Ubuntu Manual at all?
Is this completely different documentation? Is it the same as help.ubuntu.com, just in PDF form?
I only by chance heard of the Ubuntu Manual from www.omgubuntu.
Sorry if I sound frustrated, but as a new user to Linux and Ubuntu, I've found www.ubuntu.com very difficult to find anything useful. (For example, it was hard for me to locate even where the md5sums for the ISOs were, since there is no direct link on the download page. And several times, the only advice offered is "ask your admistrator," which I feel is an odd thing to advise a home desktop user to do.) Shouldn't the best place for Ubuntu stuff be at least mentioned on www.ubuntu.com?
I hope a some mention can be made sometime. Thank you! ^^

Hi Zeniff
The Ubuntu Manual Project is a quite recent project (the first release was just in time for Lucid), run by The Manual Team. It's a community effort to provide a high quality manual for Ubuntu, but at this point it's not an official Canonical/Ubuntu project.
It's not just help.ubuntu.com in PDF, it has a lot of original content written for the manual.
My feeling is that in future releases there will be plenty of links in the main Ubuntu site, but that's just my guess :)

Hi,
There will be a link to our website on ubuntu.com with the new Ubuntu website refresh that the design team are working on. Should be finished in the next few weeks. :)

@Benjamin
I see the new design but I don't see any links.
