Will there be versions for different editions (like UNE)

Asked by andypiper

I've had a question from someone who saw my video of UNR 9.10 asking where he can find the documentation on the Netbook Edition. Are there any plans to include content in the Ubuntu Manual or to have customised versions for the manual for the different editions?

This was talked about on irc a few weeks ago, but since we are already pressed for time just to get the lucid version out for ubuntu alone, this is not currently going to happen. However we may branch out into others for the 10.10 release. Im sorry i cant tell you more yet, it is simply something we havent talked about much yet.

Thanks for the response, and that is fine. Just a note really to say that people have asked for something like this... in many ways it could be just a question of a screenshot guide to the user interface, since it's mainly the look-and-feel that is different rather than the applications etc.

We will be making more versions for Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Netbook Edition based on the success of the Ubuntu manual. :)

Can you help with this problem?
