Hello,
I hope you can aswear my question.
I design advertisements for a social projekt, which collect donation to build a birthplace in Africa. Por this newspaper-advertismets I use the ubuntu font. Now I want to know if i can use the font without mention a copyright?
If i should mention a copyright, please tell me the right way.
Please excuse my bad English.

ich hoffe Sie können mir meine Frage beantworten. Für einen eingetragenen Verein, der Spenden zum Bau eines Geburtenhauses in Afrika sammelt, habe ich Anzeigen für Zeitungen entworfen. Für die Anzeigen habe ich die Ubuntu-Schrift benutzt. Nun möchte ich fragen ob ich die Schrift ohne Nennung eines Copyrights verwenden darf oder nicht? Wenn das Copyright genannt werden muss möchte ich hiermit fragen in welche Art und Weise das Copyright in der Anzeige stehen soll.

Hallo Katharina, danke für die Frage,

It sounds like you're a designers who uses of the fonts (ie. not a font designer). So please do *Use* the Ubuntu fonts, just as you would use any other font.

Libre fonts are about giving *extra permissions*, the permissions to share and modify a font (according to its licence). Don't disguise or misrepresent the source or author. All digital fonts (libre, zero cost, or $$$) are currently copyright by some organization or person. The copyright and author for each font is normally recorded as metdata inside the .ttf heaers. The .ttf headers are kept with the font data when a PDF is exported.
