Samba/cifs shares accessible with File Manager

I miss an option to read and write to and from samba/cifs shares from File Manager, even if it is not possible to mount the drives permanently at the moment (kernel does not support it. Is this feature being regarded as people tend to have network drives where they keep backups and media files?
