I can't remember my Password

I have downloaded Ubuntu, I didn't thought I put a password in, that I just pressed enter. It always comes back with the messages that I don't have the correct password. I restarted it, but I could not use the recovery. If I use the recovery it gives me Windows Vista instead.

So how do I change my Password to sign in to Ubuntu 8.10??????

get into ubuntu whit a livecd and reppair in sistem settings your problem
