Feedback on the Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 AMD (AMD Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350) (202503-36571) WiFi 5 not working with newer Kernels

Asked by Dave H

Received my new laptop on the 17th Nov'25 with Ubuntu 24.04.03 OEM pre-installed. Wifi worked OK during the OEM install (Kernel 6.14.0-1024-OEM) and update process. On reboot after update, WiFi would no longer connect to my Lan Linksys WRT1900ACS WiFi 5 (9 years old) wireless access point on either the 2.5 GHz or 5 GHz bands.

The update installed Kernel 6.14.0-1015-OEM. I presume this has caused a backward compatibility issue with my old router.
A more recent update with Kernel 6.14.0-1016-OEM has the same problem.

As a work around I was able to connect to my Pixel10Pro phone WiFi hotspot (WiFi) to use either 5G or Lan WiFi old router connections with Kernels 6.14.0-1015-OEM and 6.14.0-1016-OEM.

I purchased a new WiFI 7 router a tp-link BE9300. My Laptop WiFi connects to the 2.5 GHz/ 5 GHz bands OK and has been stable for the last 3 days. But I cannot connect to the the 6 GHz band which is disappointing.

I'm not an expert but would happy / interested to support any guided debug.
