Feedback on the Dell Precision M3560 (202010-28315)

Asked by Matthieu Dalstein

The Dell Precision 3560 does not support suspend to RAM (S3) ACPI state.
In practice, it is not possible to suspend the laptop in an efficient way.
I fail to understand how the laptop can be certified without mentionning that it's not possible to suspend it, which is a standard usage for a laptop.
The issue is not only for precision 3560, but also for other recent models. More information on https://www.dell.com/community/Linux-General/Dell-Latitude-5420-5520-S3-Suspend-deep-sleep-not-working-on/td-p/7981601

I opened a case to Dell about it, but it's not progressing especially as the laptop is not linux supported by Dell from what the support told me.
