Touch does not work on Lenovo Yoga 12

I don't know if this is a bug report or a ignorance report (something my fault)

Ubuntu 20.04 works well on my Lenovo "yoga 12" except the touchscreen is not responding to touch. I've had this problem on and off including when using Ubuntu 19.10.

At the moment it does not work at all

My software is up-to-date

I've tried turning on/off screen rotate, pop-up virtual keyboard (I prefer it off -- it otherwise pops up when not needed), touchpad (I prefer it off), and searching for touch-related drivers/utilities (there don't seem to be any) and touch related "settings" (ditto). Everything works, including the built-in stylus, EXCEPT actual touching.

Suggestions appreciated...

Lenovo Yoga 12 is not a certified platforms, please file a bug using "ubuntu-bug xorg" which will help us to identify the issue.

Can you help with this problem?
