Feedback on the Dell EMC PowerEdge R240

Contrary to what the certification says Ubuntu 18.04 does not seem to support this server's NIC. The server's definitely connected to the network - iDrac connectivity works, in UEFI menus the network works - but in Ubuntu there's nothing. Unlike those systems Ubuntu is incapable of grabbing an IP via DHCP. Trying to bring up either interface with a static IP shows an incorrect NO-CARRIER status. There's some kind of software-level problem happening here in Ubuntu's support for this hardware.
