Where can I get driver for Synaptics, Inc. 06cb:009a ?

I am using Ubuntu 18.04 on Lenovo P52.

Hello,
you can try to upgrade your system first to see if it can fix this issue.

If it's still not working, try the HWE kernel stack (linux-generic-hwe-18.04 for 4.18 kernel, linux-generic-hwe-18.04-edge for 5.0 kernel) [1]

If none of above works, please file a bug with "ubuntu-bug linux" command in a terminal (ctrl + alt + t).

What does certified mean in this case? This fingerprint reader quite clearly does not work with Ubuntu and the driver is being reverse engineered at the moment.

I am on 19.04 on a t480s and the system is not able to recognize the device as a fingerprint reader.
