Hello,
if 14.04 works well for you, it's expected to work well with the latest version. (If not, please don't hesitate to open a bug report)
And don't forget that you can give it a try with the LiveUSB before installing a newer release.

Thanks.

My only issue that i am facing with this configuration is high cpu usage .

I am using Dell Inspiron 15 3541 Series Laptop.
Processor Model = AMD E1-6010 APU with AMD Radeon R2 Graphics.
CPU Clock= 1.35 GHz

I will give 16 a try...

Would you like to suggest any other distro that i can use that does not give me high cpu usage issues.
or suggest me some tweaks that can help me reduce high cpu usage issues with ubuntu 16 or any other latest version that i will be using later on.

A high CPU usage is expected when you're running something on your systems, otherwise it should be a bug if your system is just idling and doing nothing.

If this is a bug and it's discovered before, then this might get fixed with new releases / kernel.

Please feel free to get the latest 18.04 long-term-support version a try. Or even the 19.04 that got released a couple days ago.
Again, if you are still facing the high CPU usage issue (or any other issue), please open a bug report with command "ubuntu-bug linux"

Thanks.
