Feedback on the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5th
Hi:
My laptop works fine with Ubuntu 18.04, except the sound card.
I cannot find the correct analog sound card device with "aplay -l", it shows 5 HDMI devices of PCH, HDMI(0~5), which are not working.
There are serious doubts about the kernel of Linux, which is Linux 4.15.0-43-generic. The sound problem happens after several updates of the Ubuntu (18.04) kernel.
Is there any workaround? Or, I could have to do nothing but waiting.
Thanks!

Hello,
yes that seems to be a bug in the kernel, please open a bug report with "ubuntu-bug linux" command in a terminal (ctrl+alt+t)
thanks!
FAQ #2193: “XXXX is broken, I need to file a bug”.

Since I did something unconsciously( upgraded the kernel to 4.19, and then rollbacked to 4.15), now I could not find any sound cards, and the software-center was totally lost. Now I am preparing to re-install Ubuntu 18.04.1.
Can you help with this problem?
