Lenovo SR650 ubuntu server 16.04 does not detect storage drives during install

When installing Ubuntu server 16.04 on SR650 7X06 with 430-16i RAID HBA, the local storage drives are not detected. However, with Ubuntu server 18.04 the drives are detected. Need a solution for installing ubuntu server 16.04.

Please try the 16.04 HWE Kernel option when you do the install. The original 4.4 kernel likely doesn't have the driver support for that RAID card. Since you indicated that it does work in 18.04, that means the 16.04 HWE kernel which is also 4.15 will work.
