Feedback on the Dell Vostro 3478 - Vegas MLK 14 -- Fingerprint Sensor

I can not find the drivers for my Dell Vostro 3478, i visited the Dell site for drivers under Support->Drivers & Download, but the drivers are only avaliable for only Windows systems or Not Applicable. Then i found, Ubuntu on Dell Vostro 3478, there also only the description of product but no drivers.
Can you please where i can find the drivers.
Or, can you guide me what should i do next.

Hi,

it's very likely that your fingerprint reader is not support in Linux world, please refer to this FAQ.
Also, you can check for the model name listed in the fingerprint-gui project [1], to see if it can work with this PPA.

Hi Lin,
I think the PPA which you refered me will not be helpful, it only supports specified reader(fingerprint), and mine(138a:00a6) isn't listed there.
