Feedback on the Dell EMC PowerEdge R740

Hi all,

I tried to install Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Desktop and 18.04 LTS Server on a Dell R740 rack server via USB into an Intel DC P4600 NVMe PCIe SSD (SSDPEDKE040T701) with no post-installation boot success for neither OS.

The installation went fine (the installer detected the NVMe device just fine) however upon reboot I get the following message without even seeing the GRUB screen.

Booting from ubuntu
Boot Failed: ubuntu

Any help is highly appreciated!
