Installing ubuntu 12.04 in Dell Precision Tower 7910, resulting "No Boot Device Found, Press any key to restart"

Hard disk is not getting detected while trying to install ubuntu 12.04, so the ubuntu 12.04 is installed to the hard disk from a different machine and tried and it says "No Boot Device Found, Press any key to restart"

Please see the attached faq for more info. As this system was originally certified with a pre-install version of 12.04 and the fact that 12.04 reached End of Life last year, it is no longer supported. I suggest you try installing at least 16.04.4 LTS, or more preferably, 18.04 LTS that was just released in April and will be supported with updates until 2023.
FAQ #2962: “Unable to install older release”.
