Feedback on the Dell Latitude 5490 - Breckenridge 14 MLK

Asked by Vyacheslav

After updating BIOS from version 1.0.8 to 1.1.9 (http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=JP8NT) preinstalled ubuntu stopped loading on my latitude 5490. Live iso ubuntu 16.04 LTS also does not load (black screen). BIOS downgrade is blocked by vendor.

Hello!

Yes.
They answered, my warranty is not apply to the software and its compability is ensured by Ubuntu Community. I am not the one facing this problem:

Hello,

My colleague has contacted Dell and confirmed that there will be a new update in the next version to address this issue.

Please check Dell's website for the BIOS update.
Thanks
