Hello,
I would like to suggest you that the first thing to do is to check your BIOS settings.
If it looks ok in the BIOS, give a newer version of Ubuntu a try (16.04.3 or 17.10).

If it's still not working, please open a bug report with command "ubuntu-bug linux" in a terminal (ctrl + alt + t)
