Feedback on the Dell Latitude E7470 - Beaver Creek 14

Asked by Vadim Peretokin

1) I can't connect to WPA enterprise unless I turn wifi powersave off. This defeats the point of a laptop.
2) It has a chance to completely lock up during high disk IO. This means the system is not stable.
3) There are various rendering errors - tooltips on the side dock will occasionally spam-blink, or the entire desktop session crashes when I try to change the layout on a multi-screen setup.
4) The laptop does not always detect that an external monitor is unplugged. About half of the time going to Displays makes it realise, but there are cases when even that doesn't work.

So, how is this laptop Ubuntu-certified? Is this really the level of quality one can expect from this 'certification'?

Hello,
thanks for your feedback, please note that this system was certified pre-install for Ubuntu. Some bugs might exist in the stock Ubuntu.

Please feel free to give the newer kernel / release a try. Or report any issue that you found with "ubuntu-bug linux" command.

Thanks
