Feedback on the Dell Latitude 5580 - Breckenridge 15

I am trying to install ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS on a Dell Latitude 5580 using an image on a bootable USB stick.
Upon booting from the USB stick, and selecting "install ubuntu",
I get black screen with an output:

MNI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU# stuck for 22s [gou-manager: 1694]

I will appreciate any help that could help me pass through the bug.
