Asked by shantanu saha

I cannot install Ubuntu on this laptop. It's show kernel panic during boot from USB. I tried 17.04, 14.04.1 with multiple USB flash drive.

I also tried to disable intel_pstate and set nomodeset but no luck

It was a architecture issue. 32bit OS is not working but 64bit.

Hello,
This issue is weird, it should be fine to run i386 version.
17.04 i386 version does not work as well?

That's a bit bizarre, normally it should work for 32bit if it works for 64bit version. Please file a bug report for this.
Thanks.
