ubuntu 17.04 image for Lenovo ThinkPad E470

Hello,

I have purchased a Lenovo thinkPad E470 and I'd like to which image for ubuntu 17.04 I need to install. It seems that I need the i386, because the processor is intel, but the machine is 64bit. Do i have to wait and install 16.04 in the mean time? in this case, which image of 16.04?

Hello,
if you want to try the latest version of Ubuntu, you can pick 17.04
or if you want to stick to the long-term-support version, 16.04.1 will be the one.

And the amd64 stands for 64bit version, i386 for 32bit, I believe they can both run on the Intel processor.
