Installing Ubuntu 17.04 on precision 5520

Asked by Sandeep Dasgupta

I am having problem with dual boot of windows 10 (preinstalled) with ubuntu. I have switched on secure boot, fast boot and ensured that UEFI is enabled in bios.

On selecting the bootable usb, I am selecting Install Ubuntu and after that I am getting message like
"you need at least 8.4 gb to install ubuntu this computer has only 8.1 GB"

I have already shrunk my C drive to meaningful size. Also I tried switching SATA mode to AHCI mode in bios setting.
Please help me here.

Hello,

You will need to have a partition that is > 8.4 GB to install Ubuntu on it.
I would suggest you to go to the community, like:

Or the wiki page here:
