BUG on the Dell Inspiron 7559 - Pandora SKL

When trying to shutdown my laptop via ubuntu 16.04 it gives the following error:

NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s!

The machine i using is Dell Inspiron 7559 with windows as the native OS, but would like to dual boot with Ubuntu for work proposes.

Thanks for reporting this bug, it looks like you're not alone. I can see many similar bugs [1][2] on the Internet.
As your hardware could be different, please feel free to open a new bug report with "ubuntu-bug linux" command from a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t)
