Feedback on the Lenovo ThinkPad X250 - Wolverine2

Asked by Jont Allen

I have previously posted on a trackpoint mouse button and pad problem

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1506817

As of April 13, 2016 this problem is getting worse not better. As a result I have retired the X250 as unuseable.
It is only a few months old, but the left mouse button sticks on in a random way, making it unuseable for daily work.

In the last few days I upgraded the OS to Ubuntu 16.04 Beta2, and there was no resolution with this latest OS upgrade.

The problem seems to be with the synaptics dirver (or firmware).

The detials are given in the 1506817 posting on launchpad.net (see above).

Dont buy any Lenove products that integrate a touchpad until you have had a chance to boot them with a ubuntu-live USB stick,
to verify that the mouse button behaves nicely.

If you learn anything new about this problem, please post it at the above URL.
