Hello,
it sounds like your wifi card does not work from the very beginning, and your Bluetooth stopped working recently, is that correct?
Can you tell me if your laptop came with Ubuntu pre-installed?
And the following command output from a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t):
    lsusb
    lspci -nnk | grep -i net -A2
    uname -a
    lsb_release -a

Thanks

Hello,
the steps were:
1. I bought it, a few days ago with the Ubuntu 14.04 pre-installed
At the opening it was installed Ubuntu connecting it to ethernet and Bluetooth worked, but no wifi.
2. After reading some forums, with typing "sudo apt-get upgrade" there was upgrade but the Bluetooth disappeared.
3. Also I upgraded to kernel 4, but the display had many "flashes" like a "thunderstorm"!!!
4. So I made e new recovery from the Dell-partition in hard drive and worked Bluetooth.
5. At last, today, in the 3rd recovery installation, the wifi card worked perfect and Bluetoth too (can only send files to mobile, not accept).
6. In another partition i installed mint Rosa 17.3 cinnamon with the same problems and don't shuts down, also upgraded to kernel 4, the display "flashes" .
7. In this configuration of Ubuntu, I can't install LibreOffice 5 and "Kodi" also

from terminal:

Hi,
thanks for the detailed report, it's very helpful!

For your pre-installed Ubuntu:
* The pre-installed Ubuntu is a customized version specific to your laptop, switching to another version of Ubuntu or kernel stacks (e.g. from 3.19 to 4.x) may cause some component stop working.
* Please install updates ONLY with the upgrade manager, it's safer to make sure you won't accidentally upgrade to other versions. If you really want to use command-line commands, please use "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" instead, it will use 3.19 kernel (which is the one installed on you laptop) instead of upgrading to 4.x
* As it's pre-installed with Ubuntu, if you found that the WiFi is not working after recovery (initial state) or update, please file a bug with "ubuntu-bug linux" command and let us know.

So for now, I would suggest you to run recovery on your laptop (or make sure it's running with 3.19 kernel), and see if WiFi / BT is still working, if not, please open a bug report and link the bug here.

Thanks!

Thank you very much!!
After the last recovery it's running 3.19 kernel, so WiFi is working, also BT (only to send files, not to receive) is working.
Sure i'll try only upgrade manager, which this time takes a "partial" upgrade.
Thank you again
I think that, now, I know what happens
Is there a possibility 16.04 to run without problems ????

Thanks!

Hi,
We will aim for make it work with 16.04, but is there any specific reason that you want to upgrade to 16.04? Your pre-install system has 5 years support.

And for your BT issue, maybe you're hitting this bug http://pad.lv/1380510

Hello!
It was just a question about 16.04, there is no problem.
Unexpectedly, at the last update, with update manager, to kernel 3.19.0.58 there was an update to AMD drivers.
Now i know that i had to un-check that installation, for i lost both WIFI and BT.
After this, I restarted with kernel 3.19.0.23 and now i have only WiFi, no BT.
In the next hour I'll do a new recovery!!!!
that's all
Thank you!

Hello again!!
Now everything works ok, also i use a Dell-BT mouse with no problem. And a last question pls.
In the last updates from update manager, I see the following promotions, that i un-check.
1. Catalyst Control Center for the AMD graphics accelerators
2. HDA driver for DKMS format
3. Minimal video for the AMD graphics accelerators
4. video driver for the AMD graphics accelerators.
and the question is:
Is it legal to install these updates, or I'll have the same problems with no WiFi and no BT.
Thank you

Hello,
These updates are for audio and graphic card, I think it's fine to install them, with less chance to cause WiFi and BT stop working.
Cheers
