Feedback on the HP Z440 Workstation - Z440

Hi

We tried to install ubuntu-14.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso on a Z440 (Type WM463EA#UUZ).

The installation failed with a kernel error, specifically an ACPI error.
We run the Z440 with the newest BIOS from HP Version 1.65.

The HP Driver package is useless because we cannot install the OS itself.

We contacted the HP support, but they say, they only support preinstalled Ubuntu.
They also do not provide a recovery DVD or a ISO for download.

Later I found this website: http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201502-16767/

There are tons of different versions and installer, I just want to know which one works witout trying every available version.

Hello,
There is no definite answer to which version will work on this system. As this system was certified with pre-install Ubuntu only. Please give the latest 16.04 LTS or 14.04.4 a try.
