Sim card driver for Dell Latitude E6420

Hi, I have recently moved to Ubuntu 15.04 from Windows 7. I have a sim card slot with the laptop for mobile broadband. Can i make use of it with Ubuntu?

Hello,
First, you will need to check if there is a modem available, some laptops do have a sim card slot but do not have a modem in it.
You can simply insert the card and boot to the desktop, if it's detected and working properly, it will ask you to unlock your sim card (if it's locked).
If it's not working, please run the following command in a terminal (Ctrl + Alt + t) and paste the result back here for a quick diagnostic:
    lspci -nn && lsusb
