Feedback on the Dell PowerEdge R220

I have dell poweredge r220
after installing ubuntu server 14 or 15 and after installing the GUI it's become so slow , i tried the light desktop it is the same but little bit better but it is still slow
i think i have to get video driver , but i don't know how
can you help me please

Ubuntu Server does not ship with a GUI and any video beyond basic console access is not considered part of Certification for Server class hardware.

Typically, servers do not have very good graphics chipsets on them. This one in particular seems to come with a quite old Matrox G200 w/ only 8MB of video memory:

So I would not expect very good graphics performance at all from this system as it comes from the factory.
