Feedback on the Asus X101CH - Yanshui

I have ubuntu 12 installed on it and it is very slow, is it possible to upgrade to ubuntu 14 regarding the specs or is that not a good ide

Hello,
For the slowness, you can try to install proprietary drivers in "Additional Drivers" if there is one. And you can try 14.04 on your laptop with a LiveUSB [1].
If nothing changed here, you can try out some light-weighted distro like xubuntu or lubuntu [2] instead.
