Hi Rianto!

The HP 650 [1] is certified with pre-installed Ubuntu [2]. That means you may have to use a version of Ubuntu tailored for your HP laptop.

That said, can you paste the output of the command "lspci -nnvv" to help us identify the root cause?

To do so:

1. Open a Terminal by pressing Ctrl+Alt+T.
2. Once opened, type the following in it and press Enter: lspci -nnvv
3. Copy the output and paste it here.

Thanks!

Hey Rianto, thanks for the feedback.

From the list you provided, it looks like your laptop is using the following Wireless module:

    Ralink corp. RT3290 Wireless 802.11n 1T/1R PCIe [1814:3290]

The HP 650 laptop that was certified [1] for Ubuntu Linux uses a different wireless module (namely, the Atheros Communications AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter [168c:0032]).

What Ubuntu version are you using on this laptop?

I googled a bit and found a method for Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, although it might not be very simple:

http://www.dailylinuxnews.com/blog/2014/09/install-ralink-rt3290-wifi-driver-in-ubuntu-linuxmint-elementaryos/

Good luck!
