Feedback on the Dell Precision Tower 7810 - Avalon

Hi There,

When my client purchased Dell precision tower 7810. They wanted to install 12.04.2, there was no option to pre-install the system with Ubuntu 12.04.2 unlike what is shown in the article. http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201405-15065/

Installed 32bit 12.04.2 no issues but i cant run certain application as it only works on 64bit environment.
Installed 64bit 12.04.2, application works fine but USB ports are working intermittently.

I need the 64bit to support 64bit application and USBs to work. Please advice where i can download the Dell image 64bit version. Called Dell they are saying no such thing was ever released for this unit. Please advice. I need some proof if im going to escalate this further.

Im not a pro in Ubuntu. Please go easy on me. Thanks.

Hello, I would suggest you to open a bug against that USB issue with "ubuntu-bug linux" command in your terminal.
FAQ #1523: “Where can I find a Pre-install/Manufacturer image”.
